I think its funny how you meet people sometimes. I met Julie and her family (just a family of 3) when I did my first mini-sessions two years ago. After last year's mini-session, she told me a few months later she was expecting her next baby, a girl! (As a boy mama, I do get pretty excited whenever I hear "its a girl"!)
But here's the craziest thing - after meeting Julie the second time for mini-sessions, we realized our boys go to the same school! Six degrees of seperation truly exists! (Which is why one of my personal mottos is try to be nice to everyone you meet - karma always catches up with you one way or another!)
If you remember, I did Julie's maternity photos a little while ago in beautiful Old Town Alexandria. Now please don't do the math here - because baby girl is quite a bit older now then she looks in these photos - and Julie hasn't been pregnant for over a year. :) Details, details, right?
What was one of the cutest parts of this session for me, (besides loving on a two week old baby) is how fun big brother is with his little sister. Perhaps it had something to do with him being able to stay home that morning from school while we hung out at his house and photographed his family. He was happy to get out his toys, chill with mom + dad while they marveled at their little newborn sweetie pie.
Although, I knew it was time to go when he started asking for his friends at school. Apparently babies and photographers are interesting only for so long.
By now you are all probably sleeping through the night and getting ready for some fun new milestones just around the corners!
